What is Renolab?

The Brussels government recently approved the Renolab regulations. But what exactly is it? It is a call for projects designed to stimulate and support sustainable and circular renovation work on Brussels buildings.

Two calls for projects have been launched and will be reviewed regularly. The first aims to support projects that help remove barriers to the sustainable renovation of Brussels buildings. This project is based on grouped or neighbourhood-wide renovation, as well as innovative financing and support tools. The second project supports the design and implementation of innovative circular building renovation projects. The projects are respectively called Renolab.ID and Renolab.B.

Please note that the Renolab.B winners will receive financial support as well as guidance from Brussels Environment. Grants range from €10,000 to €15,000 to support applications, and from €125 to €150/m² for project implementation.

Renolab therefore aims to support and promote high-quality renovation projects. It also seeks to demonstrate that buildings in Brussels can be renovated in a sustainable and circular manner.
